Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area/Oakland, Las Vegas-based Fans Of Jimmy Century is a mod fringe, genre-bending duo consisting of vocalist and voice actor Alicia Perrone and bassist, producer, and video director Victor James.

Fans of Jimmy Century’s novelty holiday album, A Coupla Holiday Spirits (Halloween Perils and Christmas Carols), was released on 7/26/24 via AWAL/Sony Music, featuring tracks like “Here Comes Christmas” and “Wannabe Dracula.” The album debuted at #1 on iTunes Holiday Album chart, with all singles landing in the Top 20, and it also secured the #1 spot for Hot New Release on Amazon. In its second week, the album charted at #6 on Billboard’s Top 10 Comedy Albums and reached #17 for Digital LP Sales. Their villainess version of “You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch” (which became a favorite among TikTok users as the most popular female-led version) also reappears on the record.

The stark contrast between their songwriting and visual style sparked their obsession with genre-bending, creating a unique world of characters for each song. FOJC’s YouTube and branding focus on music, comedy, and slop culture. Their kitschy music, outlandish videos, and bold style, which exist on the fringe of the mainstream, appeal to both the younger generation and the young at heart. This distinct style earned them a spot on this year’s Grammy nomination ballot for Best Children’s Music Album.

Their popular song, “Va Va Voom to the Moon,” was featured on Netflix’s Top 10 hit Emily in Paris, and the track has gained renewed popularity thanks to media giant Pop Sugar featuring their video. Their album Modern Inferno includes a cover of Sponge’s “Wax Ecstatic,” which charted at #11 on the Alternative charts. Additionally, their track “Best of My Generation [All The Way Clean Edit]” is the official NBA song for MVP player Giannis Antetokounmpo (aka The Greek Freak from the Milwaukee Bucks).

FOJC boasts over 250 film and television syncs, including placements in Emily in Paris, WB’s Get Hard, NBA broadcasts, Ray Donovan, Law and Order: SVU, Gossip Girl, The L Word, Finding Nemo, Hall Pass, Bad Teacher, The Real Housewives of NYC, Snapped, and many more.

Producer Chris Moon, who is best known for discovering Prince, also discovered FOJC and invited them to collaborate on new tracks, with a release date yet to be announced. He remarked, “I thought when I discovered Prince, I found the last great talent on the planet. I was wrong. FOJC are awesome.”

Looking ahead, FOJC will launch a holiday-themed Las Vegas residency in 2025 to support their holiday record and will continue their avant-garde production show, Fatale Originale.
