Ren Ashfield, the West London-born and bred singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, leads this extraordinary band. After cutting his teeth in local bands, Ashfield moved to Treviso, Italy, where he continued his musical journey. In 2018, he assembled a group of ‘magic’ musicians capable of creating transcendent sonic experiences. By 2019, the band—featuring Ren Ashfield on lead vocals and piano, Tolo Marton on guitar, Andrea Tombesi on bass and backing vocals, and Charlie Bonazza on drums and backing vocals—recorded their debut album ‘Cover Me Quick’, mastered in London by the legendary Jon Astley (known for his work with the Stones, Clapton, and The Who). The following year, Alex De Rosso replaced Tolo Marton on guitar, further solidifying the band’s lineup.
Ren Ashfield’s impressive musical pedigree includes performances with Deep Purple founder and drummer Ian Paice at numerous festivals and shows, including the Summer Festival in Vascon, Geox Theater, and Muddy Waters Club. He has also shared the stage with Deep Purple keyboardist Don Airey. These experiences have honed his passion for rock in its rawest and most authentic form, which he channels through Ren Ashfield and the Magicians.
